Playing in Paradise Challenge #26

Happy Friday Paradise friends!!! It's time for another Playing in Paradise Challenge at the Scrapbooker's Paradise blog.
This weeke we have Carla's power of three! You have to use ALL 3 (tags, twine and buttons)

I used my new embossing folder that I picked up from Scrapbooker's Paradise a couple of weeks ago by Sizzix. Very happy with the result... I heat embossed the sentiment by Stampin' Up and then used my Vintage Photo distress ink pad to give it that aged look.

LOTV with Pixie Challenge

Just got some LOTV die cut design sheets the other day... and they are all super cute! I wanted the stamps, but I can't buy all of them. The die cut comes with 6 images already colored for less price.... maybe I can narrow down my wish list and buy the stamps later on.
I used the Pixie Sketch Challenge for all the LOTV.

Mojo 201

(HUH...I have this post scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday, but it posted today!! Tuesday)
Can't believe July is almost over!! Hope you're enjoying your summer. We've been doing a lot of camping and my girls are just lovin it.

Here's my MOJO #201, mixed with my own personal challenge **nothing but masculine for a week** so far I have total of 12 cards... it's not as bad as thought it would be! I'm just using a lot of twine and buttons.

Sweet Stop Challenge

I was in need of a masculine card the other day and I couldn't believe I have none (I bet you have the same problem too!). So.... I'm challenging my self this week to make nothing but masculine.....not just one card, but four!! Hoping mass producing for a week will be enough to fill my stash and don't have to make any till next year.

Mo Manning Challenge #92 with Mojo Sketch

Mo Manning's challenge is "Summer Vacation". I don't have anything vacation, but I do have something summery.... and yes it's my favorite "Strawberry Girl".

I also used Mojo Sketch cause I just love the sketch layout..... that and I really want to win some Verve Stamps!

We went to see Transformer yesterday.... love the 1st, 2nd and the 3rd is even better!! I just don't know how the new girl (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) managed to find high heels during the shooting and blowing up.... when she started with flats. LOL! can't believe they didn't catch that.

Mojo 200

It is not even the first Monday of the month and Mojo is giving away prizes!! If you love Verve stamps, you better get crackin' and do the #200 sketch challenge.
It's our friends 23rd Anniversay this Saturday and thought.... I better make my card before it's too late and end up buying one. Haaaa!!! I think hubby will set my craft room on fire if I ever do that !
I had fun creating this one!! A tad busy, but I love the color combo and all the distressing. The punch around the page measurement is 5 and 7/16 by 5 and 7/16. I wanted the around the page closer to the edge of my card (5.5 x 5.5)....I just measured one circle and added to 5 X 5 (suggested size for the corner and border punch to match). A bit tricky... but with practice it can be done.

The Sweet Stop #117 with a spin

I thought the challenge was over.... but I still have 2 hours to spare!! Thank God I have this image already colored along with the background I found in my stash already assembled and ready to go. All I had to do was put the liquid applique! Sweet!

Hope it's a beautiful FRIDAY for you!!! I'm off everyday... so it doesn't really do anything for me.... they're all the same..... but come school time I know it will be a different story.

Happy 20th (x2) Birthday

I made this card last week with 100% intention of mailing it out before our camping trip last weekend..... I'm pretty sure she's not gonna get it since I only mailed it TODAY!!

My blog is on time.... (does that count??) and I know she will see that. Maybe she will be too busy celebrating her 20th Birthday.... x2..... or maybe went camping too and will not be back till the end of this week, then she'll think I sent it on time. Oh.... I give up!! LOL, I guess I should just say Belated Happy Birthday.Nancy did such an awesome job with this layout.... I just had to try it!

Designer??

I didn't get a chance to share my BIG NEWS with you on Friday.... I was asked to join the Scrapbooker's Paradise Design Team (yeahhhhh!!!), but we had to go camping and I only had time to create my card for Friday challenge. I could of scheduled the post..... but I didn't want my post to appear and not have access to Internet in case it was a practical joke or decided to give the position to someone else at the very last minute..

Paradise Challenge

Beautiful day today!! Too bad it wasn't like this yesterday when I have all 4 screaming girls in the house for a play date. By the time they got to play outside, it was time for the twins to go home.
When do they go back to school again??? I have been busy with them... taking them to the water park, Calaway park, play dates.... but they are still bored!!!

Clean and Simple

I love my nesties..... but lately I have been too lazy to reach for them. I just find the process too long specially if you want to use more than one of the same die and emboss them. I do love the end result though, even with all of my complaining.

Thought I'd do black and white for my Mojo sketch challenge instead of my usual distress ink. Very pleased with the result.... although it took me a long time to create this one.
What a big difference it is with natural light vs indoor light. We've been lucky so far with the nice weather and all. To bad we can't always take our pics outside.

Bright and Simple

Just love how this one turned out! Very simple and easy to put together. I wanted to use my tinny buttons instead of pearls for the flowers, but didn't have enough for 10 cards. I guess I'm just gonna have to make another card.

Simple enough for yah?

Just did my card class and I had to tone my cards down a notch. Sure enough the ladies were very happy. Although.... I tried to show them how to make this flower from scratch and it turned out to be not so simple.

Strawberry girl
