Do I really need it?

You BET!! I just picked this up at Michael's today for $10!!! I used my 50% coupon (last week's receipt) and then the 20% coupon for all Martha Stewart products (this week's flyer) It's already a deal when you buy the combo pack, but the $10 is even better.
Is it ever ugly out there! Hubby dropped me off at LJB's school for PTI this morning for 9:15. It just started snowing and when I came out of the school (15 minutes later) everything was covered. I already did my shovel #1 for the day and I think I will probably do #2 shoveling after my afternoon run with the school bus.

No crafting for a while

Happy Tuesday to you all! I have 5 cards for you, but they're all ABS technique. You're probably sick of them by now, so I thought I'd post them all together instead of one at a time.

I have to do my 84 Christmas Gift Baskets this year again, which is due on the second week of December. So no crafting for me for a week and a bit.
You've probably seen the new Martha Stewart punches... that is what I used and of course along with the ABS technique.

In real life... the ABS/embossing/distress ink technique is very shiny.

Yesterday I was gonna do some crafting... but I heard some noises in my craft room and was too afraid to check what it was ( is sounded like little feet running along the heater vent. Yes! that was my guess too) So last night, after our costco run. I went to put some stuff in the freezer and my craft room floor and table was covered with dust. And no! I didn't dare find out who is crafting in my room.

This morning (totally forgotten about the other crafter) I went to look for shoes for Lexiss (stored under the stairs) and then realized about them little feet. I've never moved so fast in my life, that I grab the first shoes I can find (of course not her shoes!) As I was coming out from under the stairs storage.. something flew by my head. It's a damn bird!! the bird must of got in from the cold air intake for the furnace ( well.... that's all I can think of, but don't ask the hubby.. he's accusing me of leaving all the doors open and that's how it got in) Yup! me, who is always COLD will leave all the doors open.

Cal~Gals Challenge

Friday night was our Cal~Gals night at Shannon's house. It's always nice to see the Gals and this time we even got to see Miss Hailey! It was a good night for me because I was actually productive.
Here's my take on Shannon's challenge (Beate's WSC) I did the ABS technique, Cuttlebug embossing and Distress Ink again. But..... this time I had to show Tracy the technique (lol, I know, I'll use any excuse to do the ABS technique) I forgot to pack my embellishments and Dianne was kind enough to help me out.
I got home that night and thought.. I'll read the Twilight book that I borrowed from Shannon, to unwind. I put the book down at 3:45 am! It's not because I was ready to sleep... It's because my girls will be up in 2 hours! I finished the book in less than a day!! I guess I'll be asking Shannon for the next one ("lol"with the rate that I'm going, maybe all 3)

Long time no post

It's FRIDAY!!! Gotta love it when it's a short week. Mid November already and I'm not sure if I'm gonna do my Christmas shopping or not. We only do the kids and they are all teenagers now.... shopping for them is a bit difficult. I'm thinking of gift certificates or just plain CASH.

My girls went to a Birthday Party last weekend and here's the card I made for the birthday girl. I'm running out of colored images... think it's time to play with my copic markers again.

Hope to see you bloggin' by next post!

So lovin' this technique

Sparkly enough for you?

Happy Halloween to you all! Hubby made me buy more candy for tonight, fearing that we might run out, being it's on a Saturday and all. Well..... we had 23 kids including our girls! How sad is that? Our friends in Panorama Hills had 80 kids and still counting.

Have some cards to share with you.

What A Day!

It's Faith Day for all the Catholic Schools today, so it's another day off for us. Being it's our day off, I thought it would be perfect to get our H1N1 and flu shots today. I packed food and a blanket for the girls, thinking it will only be a couple of hours..... 6 hours later!! Thank God I dressed them as if it's winter for we waited outside the mall for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

And do you know what the SAD part is? We have to do it all over again for the second part in a month (30 days) I'm hoping that, by that time, it will be available in every clinic and not just one clinic per quadrant.

If you're thinking of going... bring food and a lawn chair!

I made a card!!! I'm still in need of 2 cards for my class, but I don't think I will be using this one. It's a very messy process.

Calgals Challenge

Last night was our Calgals and Dianne challenged us using one of the Mojo sketch ( I think she said #18) As you can see.... more Distress Ink.
I did total of 3 cards!! Woo Hoo... considering I usually just sit there and watch.

Had fun with the gals, it's always a blast when we get together. Can't wait for the next meeting.

All dressed up and no where to go

That's exactly what happened this morning! It was brutal!! The half hour commute turned to 2hours. Ahhhhh... gotta love the first heavy snowfall, oh well... what can we do.

Still lovin' the distress Ink.
This one is also distressed but with a little bit of bling.

Winter Wonder Land

Ay Carumba! I'm soooooooooooooo not ready for winter yet. Today would be a good day to stay home and maybe hibernate till we see fall.

I made this card for a friend of ours who turned 7 yesterday. I love the finished product, but thought it's not 7'nish enough.

So... I made this one and I think it's more appropriate for her age.

Mojo??

Wow! I can't believe I managed to play this week's mojo. I'm not too sure with this one though.... I didn't have a clue what I was gonna do and I think it's way too busy and way too much bling.
I used the scor double sided sheet for the snowflake and border, then added the glitter. I found it easier to use spellbinders than the punch with the scor sheet. Cleaner cut and less measy!

Soon to be BEST FRIEND!

I can't stop reaching for my DI! I just love how easy it is to use and how fast you can change the look with just one stroke.
Same idea with just heavier orange DI.

I just love my new Best Friend!

and I think I'm gonna have a special TH shelf just for him in my craft room. "lol" ok, maybe an extension to it!

My Best Friend is back!

My best friend MS is back! Well... at least I think she's my best friend. There's a special wall just for her in my craft room.
Just love her new double loops border and corner punch.

Happy Saturday

Happy Saturday to you all! I thought the weekend was never gonna be here. I was so excited I woke up at 5:55 this morning. Thought I'd tackle the laundry and ironing (not really excited about that!) today, so I'll have tonight and all day tomorrow to play in my craft room.
It was our friend's 40th birthday last week and here's the card I made for her. She loves shoes and purses and when we went to Vegas we picked up a coach purse for her.
The sentiment is actually her favorite saying. Well... that and so as shoes.

Card #3

Ok... here's my second take with that window card. As you can see... I just had to add something to it! I think it's simpler than the first one and I will definitely use this as my third card.
Hope you're having a very cool day today! It was very cold and windy this morning... I think I'm gonna have to dig for the winter jackets pretty soon. My oldest one was wearing a very thick spring jacket and she was cold while waiting to get in to school. Of course... when you want to be the first in line (not my idea at all!) we end up freezing our little buns off. I hope come winter time, my daughter will be out of that bright idea of hers.

Card #2

Been really busy lately and crafting is not even making it on my to-do-list. With waking up at 6am Monday to Friday, all I want to do after I put the girls to bed is to go to sleep.
I somehow managed to come up with card #2 for my class the other day. I'm still trying to make it very simple and easy, basically trying to stick with 2 colours only. I'm very happy with this one though. My class is not till next month, so I still have plenty of time to come up with 8 more cards. LOL, I better not wait till the last minute again.

Simple Christmas cards

At least I think it is... I just love the Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I stamped the image with the white craft ink and then clear embossing powder. I then used my (Shabby Shutters) distress ink to make the image pop.

I did this one with the white layering just to see if it's better than the black. I think I like the black one better. Still working on my cards for my class and I think this is the #1 card. Still have 9 more to go!

Just couldn't leave it alone!

I wanted to do another card that I saw from Nancy's craft room.... it's suppose to be very easy and simple. First I did the Just rite stamp and then circle punch to show the snowflakes. I tried to leave it just like that, but as you can see... I had to add more stuff to it. I have to make 10 Christmas cards for my class that would be quick and easy for the ladies. I think I did four already and they are all busy and not simple at all.

Maybe I will make the card with just this part.
It's raining today here in Calgary and it's a perfect day to CRAFT, I hope I will get some productive crafting today.

Too CUTE!

A little story to tell you about my oldest daughter... I picked her up today from kindergarten and as we were leaving the school, she asked me to wait because she had to talk to somebody. She then proceeded towards a group of ladies and she said to one of her classmate's mom "Nolan touched my lips" Nolan's mom asked her "What did he touched your lips with? my daughter replied "HIS LIPS!" I didn't know what to say.... for I thought it was too cute for her to go to the source (she was very serious about her complaint) well... I couldn't really say anything because I was trying not to laugh. I was surprised Nolan's mom handled her complaint without cracking up. We had the same incident when she was in preschool too. Thank God they moved to Texas!
I don't think hubby will find this funny. Last time I told him something like this... he was mumbling about polishing something and no dating till they are done school. Yeah.... good luck with that one!

I was able to do some creating yesterday! I got the idea from Nancy's mom and I knew I had to try it. I'm really happy with the end result though. I have a Christmas class next month and I don't think this will make it to the list. It will be a little bit complicated for the ladies, maybe something similar with out the window punch.

CalGals Challenge

Friday night was our CalGals meeting and we usually take turns to do a challenge. Last night Allison decided to change things a bit (yeah! a bit... as in NO sketch to follow!) It was a challenge alright for it took me a couple of hours to finish my card. Lets just say I packed every thing but my Mojo!
I stamped the image twice on two different DP (gcd) and then heat embossed. You can't really see it, but the big butterfly and the stopwatch is the same DP as the green and white. I must of changed the layout and the main card stock so many times and at the end of it all..... I ended up using Allison's card stock.
I'm always looking forward to our CalGals night, but when I get there.... I'm usually lost and just want to see what the other ladies are doing. Friday night was a good night cause I made 2 cards!
This one is the Sperelli (I call it threading) technique which I borrowed from Nancy.

This one is actually pretty easy to do once you get the hang of it. The only thing that was hard, was cutting the template. Yeah I know... call me crazy cause that's what they were calling me that night. LOL I'm just happy I made 2 cards.

Not ready for SNOW yet!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. When I was creating this card yesterday, I was thinking.... and hoping... that snow is not gonna be here any time soon. I'm the type of person, that is ok with out snow even around Christmas and after Christmas. Heck... I can go all year with out it!
I used my compressor again for this one and colored the snowman with my copic markers. I used B00, but with the mixture of green from the air compressor, it didn't turned out to be blue at all and I also colored it with my Sakura gel pen for some bling. Oh well...I still like it!

Surprise!

I know it's verrry shocking that I finally used my air compressor. I lend it to Shannon a while back and it sat in my craft room still in the box and the box inside the bag for MONTHS. I finally took it out of the box and set it up. Now, it's ready when ever I want to play with it. I also got a little nudge from Allison to use my compressor. Maybe I should bring the ac to our next meeting so the gals can play with it.
The stamp is from Michael's by Inkadinkado, which I used my 50% off and there's total of 16 stamps for only $11. Can't go wrong with that!

Gift Tags

A little bit too big for a gift tag I think... but the ladies said it's a good size.

I think they are just too cute. I used my nesties for both bags and Michael's flowers. I'm looking forward for the week to end. With back to school and back to work... getting up at 6:30, I can't wait to sleep in on the weekend. Long weekend that is! WOHOOO!

Can you guess what I'm thinking?

PURSE! I have been waiting for the CrossIron Mall to open up and only to find out that there's no COACH store out of 200 stores. I must of heard it wrong... all that excitement for nothing. I was sooooo looking forward to having a Coach store 10 minutes from my house.

So yes! a purse card. I like how this one turned out and I also love the green DP.
