Garage sale Weddding cards

Two personalized wedding cards from my garage sale last weekend. The same as the MIL card, the lady just wanted different colors.

And of course... since I have all the tools out, I made this 20th anniversary for our friend. Woohoo... first day of no school!!! Gee... I think I'm more excited than the kids (yesterday was the last day of school and most of the kids are all sad and then there's me singing away how we don't have to get up at 6 in the morning for 2 months)
July is as busy as June for Birthday and anniversary cards. I did so good for the month of June... had them all done and sent before the actual date. I don't think I can say the same for July though!

Wedding card

MIL is going to a wedding in July and here is the card I made for her. Last post I said I have something cooking in my crafty head and here is the result. For the dress I used jewel toned mica coated paper by worldwin and tulle by modern romance for the skirt part and basic basic simply satin ribbon (all from Michael's my 2nd home)

Here's the close up of the dress. I wanted the ribbon to stay in place so I used glue dots.
Side view. I folded (3/4) the tulle so it will be more pooffy. Double sided tape to keep the skirt part onto the dress and covered the gathered tulle with the ribbon.
And here is the inside of the card.

Thank You card

I love the look of this card. Love the orange/white and green color combo.

That's all I have for you today. I have to clean my table now! YOU should see it (Great.... It's gonna be nice and clean and I have to do more masculine cards. I'm probably gonna sit there for a while till I find my mojo again.

Thinking of You

Peel Offs!! Did I tell you they are the greatest. They are just like Rub-Ons but from far they looked like they were embossed. They work great with accetate!
One more card to post and off to more masculine birthday cards to finish off my 2nd last order.
Our block is having a garage sale this saturday and I'm thinking of making some cards to sell. We'll see...

Thank You

The ribbon idea came from the wedding that we went to. The bride's dress was beautiful and of course the bride was stunning. When I saw the back of her dress, I knew a card was brewing in my head ( yes.. you can actually see steam! LMAO) Now.. I'm thinking of making another card with actual soft shinny material (similar to a wedding dress) Hmmm...let me see what I can come up with.

a little note from tweet

If you like the look of accetate to your card (like I do!) I just simply do a lot of layering and then sandwiching the accetate in between to hide the glue. The tags are done the same way.

Just for You

This one is my fav! I wanted a very simple color combo. And of course I can't go with out Martha Stewart's border punch.

Darling Lily

It is so much fun using this Pink Cat Studio stamps. I just used my stampin' up markers to color Lily. Boy!!! I sure wish I can color her with the Copic Markers though! I'm trying to talk the owner of the Scrapbook Pantry to oder them. She would if she only knows which one to oder (she doesn't want to oder the whole set because she might get stuck with them. You know... for they are so cheap!!! NOT!!!) So if you have any suggestions as to which little set you would start with please let me know.

I used clear liquid embossing for Lily's hat and dress.

Lily and her Tweety

Pink Cat Studio from Shelley's store. They are the cutest! This card is accetate from the front again. You will be seeing more of this style of card for a while because "Mad stamper was at work again" and I have 9 cards to post.

Here is what the inside looks like.

Spellbinders

Spellbinders butterflies and flower creations. I got the idea from Heidi http://embellished-dreams.blogspot.com/ You shoud check out her blog. This amazing lady can turn a boring bird feeder to a 5 star all you can eat birdstaurant for all them lucky birds.

I have been using accetate for my cards lately. The backing is stampin' up textured paper and then the front is accetate. It's a little bit tricky to use accetate because you don't want the glue to show from the back and you also want the front to be sturdy.

Next post I will take a pic of the inside so you can see it better. Thanks for bloggin' by!

Father's Day cards

OMG! making masculine cards is sooooo.. not my thing. LOL! is it just me? My mojo just went blah.. I can't even blame my table for it cauze it's a mess right now ( I create better with a messy table)

This card is for the hubby. The traffic lights embellishment is perfect for him. hint $$$ hint $$$
The embellishment is by Karen Foster. There's about 5 mini charms per pack and they went on sale at Michael's for $1.50

Craft Critique

Check out the craft storage solution they have at http://www.craftcritique.com/

Here are their pics!

Now check out my post dated February 9, 2008 title "Craft room/Laundry room"

Here's the pic from that post!

See my paper storage solution? I thought that was COOL that somebody out there have the same idea. It is absolutely cheaper but it is also hard to see what kind of paper you have. LOL !! neat freak here have them color coded so it will be a little bit easier to find things. I would love to get my little crafty hands on one of them racks that they have at scrapbookers paradise. NOW.. that would be the best! (but don't bother! they don't sell them...LOL I tried already! I can't see it being cheap though.)

Thanks for bloggin' by!

If I have time today, I will post my father's day cards.

New Baby

Made this card for a friend. I used stampin' up textured paper along with K&CCompany textured paper. The "BABY" and "Congratulations" if you are wondering is self-adhesive Peel-Offs. I use them a lot because they are so easy and cute ( a bit pricey though, but it's good if you don't have a lot of stamps for specific occasion)
