CalGals

Allison challenged us with CAS Sketch. It was an easy sketch, but I still struggled with it. Don't know how the gals do it...
That's it for me today and Thanks for bloggin' by!

Black and White

We are just counting the days.... it's a short week for us this week with Friday (Good Friday)being off and only half day on Thursday. I'm hoping it's gonna be a nice week and if not... I'm gonna have to set some play dates for the girls.

I have never done a Black/White card and I can't believe how nice this one turned out. I think I'm gonna have to do more of BW color combo. I was sooo tempted to distress the edges with Black Sooth Distress Ink Pad and I'm glad I didn't, for I think it's crispier and cleaner.

The sentiment is by Imaginisce and I used Spellbinders Fleur DeLis, Lattice Borderabilites
and Martha Stewart corner punch Lattice Loop.

Strength

I'm trying to see if coloring with distress ink is better than copic markers. Coloring with DI is much faster than with CM, but I think the CM is more vibrant . But then... this is my first attempt with DI and I'll definitely keep playing with it.
For a change... I thought I'd use my punches, instead of my spellbinders. And I'm so glad I did because this one turned out really good. Love the frame that was created by the corner and border punch by Martha Stewart called Lattice Loops.
Hope you're enjoying your weekend and Thanks for bloggin' by!

Almost Vintage

I was going for a more vintage look, but I think my ribbon threw the whole vintage look out the door. Oh well! Maybe next time I will also distress the ribbon to get the look.

It's FRIDAY!!! Aaaand it's also the night for CALGALS get together for a little bit of crafting and a WHOLE lot of gabbing and snacking. Can't Wait!

Tracy's Christmas Challenge

I really have to get back to coloring with my Copic Markers! As usual, when I don't have enough time.... I do my famous distress technique ( "LOL" it may not be famous to you, but it sure is for me!)
The sketch is Mojo #17. I love the sketch so much I'm thinking of doing another one.

My 3D item is a Bagalope from Cammie's blog (check side bar) with 6 gift tags.

More boring cards

Another cut and emboss from Cuttlebug.
I used my compressor for the background and liquid applique for the snow.

Again... I could of used my Copic to colour, but don't have enough time. Clear embossing with distress ink.

The sketch is from the Mojo #95 and still using my Reminisce paper along with die cut sticker.
Now I can do the fun stuff! Some girly cards and Tracy's Christmas Challenge.

Happy Monday!

Don't know about you.... but there's nothing happy about Monday. At least not for me, but hopefully it is for you.

Quick card for you! Love the cuttlebug cut and emboss that I got from the Scrapbookers Paradise(70% clearance section) I got four of them, all under 5 bucks.

I was gonna use copic markers, but decided to use Vintage Distress Ink Pad instead.

That's all from me today and Thanks for bloggin' by!

Happy Camper

I was a happy camper today! Got to watch New Moon that just came this morning. Hubby got me the DVD on Valentine's day (pre-order) and I got to watch it all by my self while he and the girls were out this morning to see Ronald at Market Mall. Now I can't wait to see the Eclipse.

Another card for you, although nothing to it, just plain old Jane. I wanted to use ribbon to jazz it up a bit, but I think it makes it too girly. I need me some macho ribbon! Tiered of using brads all the time.

Bride and Groom

Hubby wanted me to make a wedding card for him. I needed to make a quick card and this is what I came up with. Peel~Offs!! The mini Prima Flowers is by Where Memories Are Created and I got them from Michael's (my second home) Rhinestone sticker from the Dollar store.

Riley

Happy Friday to you all!! We are off today, but the girls have their dentist appointment. We are gonna be out and about, therefor no crafting for me. That's OK because last night I did 6 masculine cards. Wooo Hooo!!! I only have 5 girly cards left and 4 get well cards. Piece of cake!

The image I got from Shannon, which I colored with copic markers. The paper is by Reminisce and I got them from The Scrapbook Pantry. Love the double sided DP!

Taking my time..

That is the last thing I should be doing!!! The 23 cards that's due in April is not going so well. I have done 8 so far and instead of tackling them, I have been making hair clips for the girls. Talk about time management eh?
I know I always find it hard to make masculine cards, so I'm doing them first. So far I did 3... all about camping and then golfing next. I still have about 2 weeks and I know I can do it.... I just have to stop making hair clips!

Mojolicious #130

I was just about to give up on this one yesterday. I had a hard time doing that one piece (upper left corner) Of course instead of just using the plain circle, I had to use the Lotus Pendant and putting that one piece behind it just didn't sit right.
My flower embellishment is the same as the one I have been doing, except I just doubled the layer with the bottom layer being a bit longer than the top.

That is all from me today and Thanks for bloggin' by!

Everything Old is New Again

My intention was to do the challenge, but after sitting there for a while.... and I mean a long time with my ribbon bits and pieces scattered all over my table, I ended up making hair clips for the girls instead.

At least it's productive right?

I have to let them sit in my craft room for a while to air them out. I find the hot glue gun very messy, so I use the E6000 glue instead. A little bit potent, but at least not messy.
Do you have any idea how much they sell them for? As high as $7.99 a pair! isn't that outrageous? I bought a pack of 6 barrettes for $3.49 ($1.74 with coupon of course) and the ribbons are $1.29 for a spool of 5 yards. And to make that flower was only 14 inches of ribbon.

Mojolicious 129

Wow! Can't believe another week went by with nothing to show for. I just managed to complete the Mojo 129 today and I think I only have 19 minutes left to enter. Last Mojo... I didn't get a chance to enter, even though I completed my card way before the dead line. Oh well! maybe next time.

Mojolicious 128

Busy week for me, but managed to complete my MOJOlicious #128. I didn't have a clue how I was gonna do the sketch... Don't you just love it when you have no idea what you're gonna do? You have all the tools and more paper than you can think of.... but for some reason, you feel like you have nothing. This one took me a couple of hours to complete. Well... that and watching "Catch and Release" I'm really gonna have to stop the watching and more of the crafting.

Slackin' off

I have been spending a lot of time in my craft room lately, but not creating at all. I have been watching some chick flicks and instead of just listening to it and creating at the same time, I'm just watching it with a bag of Doritos and pop.
I have 25 cards that's due in April and so far I have done 5. Yeah!!
I made this one a while back and forgot to post. That's it for me today.

CalGals

Didn't get much done as usual. We were too busy watching the Olympic!! That's my excuse and sticking to it. It was Nancy's turn to do the challenge and she did Julie's Colour Challenge. NO SKETCH!! I was lost!! After whining and complaining, I managed to come up with this one. I'm just glad I wasn't the only one whining.... I know I did the most of it though.

The Blue prima flowers I got from Michael's, the Red flower and the rhinestones are from the $store. Everything else including the cards stocks, I got them from Nancy's store. Thanks Nancy!

Canadian EH?

Wowser!!! That was one hell of a game! I thought I was gonna have a heart attack... I was so disappointed when the US scored with only 24 seconds to go. As a matter of fact... I was so upset that I was not gonna watch the overtime at all. But I did! screaming and yelling like they can hear me at all. One proud CANADIAN here baby!! Oh yeah... I cried, that's ok cause I know I wasn't the only one.

Today is LJB's 6th Birthday!!! Her party is this Saturday and she is sooo EXCITED!! I'm not that excited.... we are having it at home and she invited 5 girls and 5 boys. That would be total of 13 kids including my 2 girls and one of her classmate's brother. First time ever having the party at home and I think it might be the last one too.

MJB's Birthday is next month and I did her invites the same as LJB's. Her party will be at home too! Of course.. have to have the same as big SIS.
