Penny Black Saturday Challenge

We are off today!! If Mother Nature is not gonna be kind today, I guess we will be staying in and do some crafting. Really want to check out one of the Craft store for some distressing sponge block, but we'll see about that later on....
Home made flowers for you by using Martha Stewart flower punch.

My image is so big and not enough room for my 3 flowers. A little bit crowded, but I guess it will do.

Mojo 136 and Stampavie 92

HO HO HO! It sure is looking like Christmas here in Calgary. Wet snow and windy... I'm gonna have to put some rocks in my pockets, so I won't get blown away.

Catching up with some challenges... I used the Mojo Sketch 136 and did the distressing challenge from Stampavie. I was gonna use the same one for Penny Black challenge, but I needed a bow, 3 flowers and 2 buttons. It was too late to pull the ribbon off without ruining the paper, so I made another one for PB challenge, which I will post tomorrow.

Mini flowers from the Dollar store. Can't find them anymore and I don't know why I only bought 3.... that is soooooooooooo not me at all!! I guess I will be buying the whole stock if I see them again.
Hope you're having a SUNNY day and Thanks for bloggin' by!

It's so nice to be able to play again. I just finished this one today and I think I'm 12 minutes late from posting. LOTV already have the next challenge posted.
Stampavie stamp!! This one is by Tina Wenke and I love it as much as Sarah Kay's stamps.

JUNK??

Hubby said they are JUNK!! Got it from a garage sale a couple of days ago for 10 bucks each.
I bought them for my scrap room, but there's no room in there yet. Still waiting for the Water tank to go... Once we go to tank less water heater, there will be space for it.
This one will be perfect for my clear stamps. Need more shelves though, but hey..... for 10 bucks I don't think I should be complaining.

Sarah Kay is in the HOUSE!!

Well... not my house, but sure is close enough. Scrapbookers Paradise is now carrying Stampavie!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL, can you tell I'm excited about it? I have been wanting to order on line, but didn't want to pay for the shipping. Maybe a membership at the SP will be worth it now.

Wonderful Mother

Not really feelin' this one! Something is missing and I just don't know what it is. It's for my class and I will probably get a different opinion from them. I know they always like the one that I'm not too keen off. Oh well!

Beautiful Day!

Just more cards for my class next weekend. I only need one more card to complete the set and still have one more week left. Wow! it's a total different feeling from procrastinating till the very last minute.
I did the alcohol inks with blending solution again, but mixed with dry embossing and distress ink pad.
The sentiment is from Stampin' Up and I must say... I just love the font.

I used 4 X 6 photo paper again and made three cards out of it. I like this one the most. I was gonna color it with Stampin' Up markers, but I knew I wouldn't be happy with the result (God forbid I let the ladies use my copics) so I thought I'd better just leave it alone.
Thanks for bloggin' by and hope you're enjoying your weekend!

OMG!!

Behind this little door is our storage room. That's where I keep all my shoes, suitcases... and most of all, the left over treats from Halloween (the one that hubby made me buy lots of fearing that we will run out... I think only 28 kids showed up!)

When ever I can't find the girls, I know they will be in there wearing my high heels and eating all the candies. Well, I got tiered of picking up my ribbons and thought it's time to re-organize them.

I've seen them before, just can't remember who's bog... and she stores them in jars. The good thing about this one is that the wires actually holds each clothes pin, so you can store them upright.

That's what I have been doing for the last couple of days. Lol! I think I have arthritis now. You don't want to do more than 5 yards each pin. If you do, you'll have to split it up into 2 pins. I also used hair elastics (the little ouch less one) to hold them in place. The only thing you want to be careful of when you're using it, is not to let it unravel on you.

Not too Shabby!

Shabby Shutter Distress Ink Pad is what I used for this card. LOL, I'm always reaching for Green!!! The ladies haven't complain about it, so I guess I'll keep using it.

I embossed the image with Black embossing powder instead of White and I think I like the black one more. With white, you have to distress more for the image to pop.

Trying to Keep it Simple

I'm hosting a card making class again this month and even though I still have about 2 weeks to prep, I thought I'd try something different and get it done a week before instead of the night before.
This time... I'll be showing them how to use Alcohol ink with Alcohol Blending Solution. I used
4X6 Glossy Photo Paper and created 3 cards from it.
I needed something simple, so I went to Susan Raihala's Blog for some ideas.
