Card #3

Ok... here's my second take with that window card. As you can see... I just had to add something to it! I think it's simpler than the first one and I will definitely use this as my third card.
Hope you're having a very cool day today! It was very cold and windy this morning... I think I'm gonna have to dig for the winter jackets pretty soon. My oldest one was wearing a very thick spring jacket and she was cold while waiting to get in to school. Of course... when you want to be the first in line (not my idea at all!) we end up freezing our little buns off. I hope come winter time, my daughter will be out of that bright idea of hers.

Card #2

Been really busy lately and crafting is not even making it on my to-do-list. With waking up at 6am Monday to Friday, all I want to do after I put the girls to bed is to go to sleep.
I somehow managed to come up with card #2 for my class the other day. I'm still trying to make it very simple and easy, basically trying to stick with 2 colours only. I'm very happy with this one though. My class is not till next month, so I still have plenty of time to come up with 8 more cards. LOL, I better not wait till the last minute again.

Simple Christmas cards

At least I think it is... I just love the Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I stamped the image with the white craft ink and then clear embossing powder. I then used my (Shabby Shutters) distress ink to make the image pop.

I did this one with the white layering just to see if it's better than the black. I think I like the black one better. Still working on my cards for my class and I think this is the #1 card. Still have 9 more to go!

Just couldn't leave it alone!

I wanted to do another card that I saw from Nancy's craft room.... it's suppose to be very easy and simple. First I did the Just rite stamp and then circle punch to show the snowflakes. I tried to leave it just like that, but as you can see... I had to add more stuff to it. I have to make 10 Christmas cards for my class that would be quick and easy for the ladies. I think I did four already and they are all busy and not simple at all.

Maybe I will make the card with just this part.
It's raining today here in Calgary and it's a perfect day to CRAFT, I hope I will get some productive crafting today.

Too CUTE!

A little story to tell you about my oldest daughter... I picked her up today from kindergarten and as we were leaving the school, she asked me to wait because she had to talk to somebody. She then proceeded towards a group of ladies and she said to one of her classmate's mom "Nolan touched my lips" Nolan's mom asked her "What did he touched your lips with? my daughter replied "HIS LIPS!" I didn't know what to say.... for I thought it was too cute for her to go to the source (she was very serious about her complaint) well... I couldn't really say anything because I was trying not to laugh. I was surprised Nolan's mom handled her complaint without cracking up. We had the same incident when she was in preschool too. Thank God they moved to Texas!
I don't think hubby will find this funny. Last time I told him something like this... he was mumbling about polishing something and no dating till they are done school. Yeah.... good luck with that one!

I was able to do some creating yesterday! I got the idea from Nancy's mom and I knew I had to try it. I'm really happy with the end result though. I have a Christmas class next month and I don't think this will make it to the list. It will be a little bit complicated for the ladies, maybe something similar with out the window punch.

CalGals Challenge

Friday night was our CalGals meeting and we usually take turns to do a challenge. Last night Allison decided to change things a bit (yeah! a bit... as in NO sketch to follow!) It was a challenge alright for it took me a couple of hours to finish my card. Lets just say I packed every thing but my Mojo!
I stamped the image twice on two different DP (gcd) and then heat embossed. You can't really see it, but the big butterfly and the stopwatch is the same DP as the green and white. I must of changed the layout and the main card stock so many times and at the end of it all..... I ended up using Allison's card stock.
I'm always looking forward to our CalGals night, but when I get there.... I'm usually lost and just want to see what the other ladies are doing. Friday night was a good night cause I made 2 cards!
This one is the Sperelli (I call it threading) technique which I borrowed from Nancy.

This one is actually pretty easy to do once you get the hang of it. The only thing that was hard, was cutting the template. Yeah I know... call me crazy cause that's what they were calling me that night. LOL I'm just happy I made 2 cards.

Not ready for SNOW yet!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. When I was creating this card yesterday, I was thinking.... and hoping... that snow is not gonna be here any time soon. I'm the type of person, that is ok with out snow even around Christmas and after Christmas. Heck... I can go all year with out it!
I used my compressor again for this one and colored the snowman with my copic markers. I used B00, but with the mixture of green from the air compressor, it didn't turned out to be blue at all and I also colored it with my Sakura gel pen for some bling. Oh well...I still like it!

Surprise!

I know it's verrry shocking that I finally used my air compressor. I lend it to Shannon a while back and it sat in my craft room still in the box and the box inside the bag for MONTHS. I finally took it out of the box and set it up. Now, it's ready when ever I want to play with it. I also got a little nudge from Allison to use my compressor. Maybe I should bring the ac to our next meeting so the gals can play with it.
The stamp is from Michael's by Inkadinkado, which I used my 50% off and there's total of 16 stamps for only $11. Can't go wrong with that!

Gift Tags

A little bit too big for a gift tag I think... but the ladies said it's a good size.

I think they are just too cute. I used my nesties for both bags and Michael's flowers. I'm looking forward for the week to end. With back to school and back to work... getting up at 6:30, I can't wait to sleep in on the weekend. Long weekend that is! WOHOOO!

Can you guess what I'm thinking?

PURSE! I have been waiting for the CrossIron Mall to open up and only to find out that there's no COACH store out of 200 stores. I must of heard it wrong... all that excitement for nothing. I was sooooo looking forward to having a Coach store 10 minutes from my house.

So yes! a purse card. I like how this one turned out and I also love the green DP.
